I do try to do some of these things, but with little kids around the house, I can tell you what would freeze over before I would be able to do all of these things on a routine basis with perfection! It's too bad that feminism has gone way beyond what it should, but I definitely agree with the counsel that men and women should walk side by side, not one in front of the other. It's amazing to see how different our culture is after just 50 years. Trust me, I would love to be the leave it to beaver mom having a warm dinner on the table at 5pm nightly ( then again I'd love to see my husband walk in the door at 5pm nightly but jobs just arent that way anymore) with the house clean and myself freshened up ect... Although it is interesting to note how over the last 50 years how much more the family has disintegrated....

That was my exact feeling when I saw this too. But in some way I wish I could have lived in that era as well, cause it was just a better world then. At least for the family perspective. Don't get me wrong the guy still needs to carry his share, but I don't mind carring it with him.
Wow that was so interesting! It really makes me understand what it was like back then. WOW! I am nowhere near that! I guess the stress of being a mom just wasn't a big deal back then, or it didn't even compare to being a working dad. Thanks for sharing that, Melanie!
Have you read "Proper Care and Feeding of Husbands"? and it's sequel "Proper Care and Feeding of Marriage"? These are the BEST marriage books I've ever read and it talks about being a good wife, but not like THAT! Wow! Where did you get that? I'm glad we're not expected to be doormats these days.
I love that book! "Proper care and feeding of husbands!" That article is hilarious. I do try to make home a happy place to be...but...yah. Dan will laugh out loud when he reads this!
