Brian has a new church calling!

Ok, so I create a new family blog, fill out the "about me" section and it's already changing! :-) Brian was released today as 2nd counselor in the bishopbric as we received a new bishop and counselors in our ward. Brian was also called today to be the new high counselor in our ward. Are we old enough for this yet? Two things I've learned: Life is not about being in your comfort zone. It's just not - life is a test and we're being molded and stretched to become the beautiful sculpture that our Heavenly Father sees us to be. Like that church video where they take the block of clay and the artist sculpts out a beautiful image of our Savior. The other? We have a loving Father in Heaven who is aware of us and loves us more than we can even realize a fraction of. It's been a good day. I look forward to having Brian around more on Sundays too. He's feeling pretty inadequate and overwhelmed at this new calling, but its a time to grow and learn. We really feel blessed.
